The University of Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles basketball bring in two transfers to solidify their roster as the 2014 season draws near.

Louisville, Kentucky natives, TeNale Roland and Cortez Macklin find their way to the squad after spending time in the Division I and Junior College leagues, respectively.

Roland joins the team after a two-year stint at Utah State of the Mountain West conference where played in 63 games, and posted an average of 5.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game.

He also spent time at Rend Lake College before joining Utah State where he was awarded NJCAA Division II second team All-American honors after averaging 20.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.

Macklin also spent time at Rend Lake where he helped lead the team to a 2013 NJCAA national title, a Region 24 title, and a Great Rivers Athletic Conference title his freshman year.

The Screaming Eagles begin the defense of their Great Lakes Valley Conference title with the start of practice on October 15th.
