After losing several players to graduation, the Screaming Eagles look to add size and depth to the roster ahead of the upcoming basketball season.

In a press release issued to local media on Thursday, the team announced the signings of junior guard Travis Britt of Rantoul, Illinois, junior forwards Shane Seniour of Newburgh and George Edwards from Chicago, along with freshman guard Calvin McEwen of Clarksville, Indiana.

Britt is a transfer from Coffeyville Community College who averaged 4.0 points and 1.7 rebounds per game as a sophomore and 8.6 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest as a freshman.

Castle High School alum, Shane Seniour joins the team after two seasons at Parkland College (Champaign, Illinois), where he was named first-team All-Region XXIV as a sophomore after averaging 14.1 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Other credentials inlcude first-team All-Conference and the NJCAA Division II National Player of the Week in November 2013.

George Edwards spent one season at Casper College and one season at Kennedy-King Junior College before coming to USI. He averaged 15.8 points and 9.2 rebounds per game as a sophomore at Casper.

Finally, McEwen lettered in basketball at Clarksville High School averaging 21.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists, and 3.0 steals per game as a senior while posting a career-best 42 points twice and was named honorable mention All-State, All-Conference, conference Most Valuable Player, the Clarksville News and Tribune Player of the Year, and Louisville Courier Journal All-Area in his final season.
