The temperatures are starting to drop (eventually), and the leaves are starting to change colors, which means basketball season is just about ready to get underway at colleges and universities around the country including the University of Southern Indiana who will host their annual Midnight Madness event this Friday night at the Physical Activities Center!

The University of Southern Indiana's Lady Eagles fell short in their bid for a GLVC title over the weekend, but did enough to punch their card to the NCAA Division II Tournament, while on the Men's side, their season officially comes to an end after failing to earn a bid.

Sophomore guard Bobo Drummond only scored five points in Thursday night's game against the University of Indianapolis, but the last two in the final second sealed the win for the Screaming Eagles.

Summer months may seem like a hopeful daydream with the recent dreary weather in the Evansville area, but the boys of summer are ready to play ball! The University of Evansville Purple Aces and University of Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles both are set to occupy the diamond today.
