Mayor Lloyd Winnecke to Make Official Announcement Concerning Jobs at Mead Johnson Nutrition on Tuesday

According to Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke's office, an official announcement concerning local jobs will take place tomorrow at Mead Johnson Nutrition at 10:30 AM.

A report by Reuters states that, Paris, France-based food giant Danone, which makes Activia yogurt and Evian water, has decided it wants to pursue a takeover of U.S. infant formula maker Mead Johnson Nutrition Group which has been headquartered in Evansville since 1921.

"Danone has done its internal strategic review and decided that Mead Johnson is its preferred acquisition," one of the sources said, speaking on condition of anonymity because the matter is private. - Reuters
