-Keith Todd, Ky Transportation Cabinet

We have 6 to 10 inches of snow across parts of Western Kentucky with maybe an inch of sleet on the bottom.  We have isolated areas of 15 inches with 2 ft. snow drifts fairly common.

We are urging everyone to stay off the road today to allow our crews to do as much clearing as possible.  I-24 remains closed in both directions from about the 16mm at Reidland to the 65mm at Cadiz.

We have 3 contract road graders in the Grand Rivers area.  As soon as possible after sunrise our plan is to send two eastbound on I-24 toward Cadiz and one westbound toward Paducah.
