The name Dylan Larkin may not mean much to you now, but chances are, if you're a hockey fan, it's a name you'll be familiar with soon enough.

But who is Dylan Larkin, and how does he tie in to us here in Evansville? Let's dive in shall we?

Dylan's dad is Kevin Larkin, a Canadian native who enjoyed a successful collegiate soccer career in the late '80's at USI, where he received All-GLVC honors in 1985 and 1986, as well as All-Region honors in 1986. He also served as team captain in 1986 and 1987. After his playing career concluded, Kevin stayed with the Men's Soccer program as an assistant coach. It was during his time at USI where Kevin met Evansville native Denise, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Some might recognize Kevin's name from his days as the head coach of the Reitz Girl's Soccer Team, a position he held for five years before accepting the head coaching position at North High School.

Following his tenure at North, Kevin and Denise moved north to the Detroit area where they continue live today.

For what it's worth, Dylan has one other tie to the area, his uncle, Ben Davis, is our station engineer and IT guy.

Best of luck Dylan!
