While their two teams battled it out on the diamond, the people responsible for the Otters and Miners Twitter accounts had a little fun by engaging in a little trash talk online.

The hit by Marino marked his sixth consecutive, a nice accomplishment in any league, prompting the Miners to ask if Evansville would acknowledge it:

Apparently, whoever runs the Otters Twitter account wasn't feeling it, leading to this retort:

Unfortunately for the Otters, the Miners would add another run before it was all said and done to win the game and take the series two games to one. Leading to a little gloating on the part of the Miners Twitter master.

No doubt a staggering shot the Miners couldn't dispute, but led to a somewhat ominous response:

(Cue dramatic "Dun-Dun-DUNNNNN!")

The Otters currently hold a one game lead over the Miners in the Frontier League's East Division, and will return home to Bosse Field for a three-game series with the Frontier Greys beginning with a double-header on Wednesday. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 5:35 p.m. It will also be Princess Night.

Tickets are available at the Bosse Field ticket office and online through the Evansville Otters website.
