Evansville IceMen Add Forward Joe Zarbo

With an eye toward the future, the Evansville IceMen add forward Joe Zarbo to an Amateur Try Out.

The 6’0", 188 pound Grand Island, New York native just finished his senior season at Clarkson University, where he scored a team best 12 goals while handing out eight assists for a total of 20 overall points. It marked the second time in his collegiate career leading the team in goals having also done so his sophomore season where put the puck in the net a career high 13 times. 

The Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light, have signed forward Joe Zarbo to an ATO. Zarbo is expected to play in the IceMen’s three games this weekend including Evansville’s home finale on Sunday.

As a senior, Zarbo dealt out eight assists to finish with 20 overall points. He posted a +3 rating in his final college campaign. In his last two seasons at Clarkson, Zarbo knocked in four game winning goals.

Before joining Clarkson, Zarbo spent time playing junior hockey with four different teams, scoring 33 goals and adding 29 assists in 50 games for the Wellington Dukes of the Ontario Junior Hockey League in his final season.

He's expected to join the team in time for their Friday and Saturday road games, and their final home game of the season Sunday evening when the IceMen will host the South Carolina Stingrays. The puck drops Sunday at 5 p.m. and will feature free mini sticks to the first 1,000 kids 12 and under through the door. Fans will also get to take 40% off merchandise at the IceMen team store inside the Ford Center. Plus the Boom Squad will perform outside the Ford Center before doors open from 3-4 p.m.
