Dedication of New Deaconess Sports Park Scheduled for Saturday at Noon

After a $16 million dollar investment by the Evansville Visitors and Convention Bureau, the new Deaconess Sports Park is set to open with its first baseball tournament this weekend and will be officially christened with a dedication ceremony at noon on Saturday.

Evansville Convention & Visitors Bureau Board of Commissioners President Donna Leader, along with County Commissioner Bruce Ungethiem, County Council President Angela Koehler Lindsey, Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, and President/CEO of Deaconess Linda White are all scheduled to speak during the event.

The ceremony will wrap up with an official city proclamation and the ceremonial First Pitch.
